Where do you think you’ll be ten years down the road? A cliche sort of question, but do you think you’ll still be making music? Is that scary to think about? Or are you already set on music, because music= love.

Hi Justin. I was wondering if you ever get writer’s or creative blocks? If so, what do you do to relieve them? How does your band contribute to the song-making process? And here’s a bit of a shameless plug, but I know there are plenty of fans in Jacksonville, FL who would love to see you! (myself included, of course)

Hi justin, I was at your show in rotterdam this monday.
Don’t know if you still remember but I asked you why you didn’t play Why, ’cause I really like that song, you told me next time I could play and sing it, I said I can’t sing, but I can play. You said I could play you can sing. haha.
anyway, you’ll be playing at parkpop in the hague, right?
could you please play Why there? haha.
maybe I can bring my guitar and sit in the grass and play along with it. haha. sounds good to me.

    Justin Nozuka,
I’m a huge fan of yours…I have both of your albums, and love them both! Your music seems to be in its own genre, separate from the rest…It also tells a great message, and that’s why I love it… The song “Save Him” from Holly really touched me…My mother was killed by her boyfriend when I was just four years old…That song seems to tell the story of so much…I played it for a presentation that I gave about domestic abuse in one of my classes…I just wanted to know: what inspired you to make that song???

Your music is the realest that I’ve heard in a long time, and I’m very appreciative for it…Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to meet you…

    Best Regards,
    Dave Mells from Detroit, Mi

    From an aspiring songwriter:
I have been trying to write my own songs but the way to go about that hasn’t quite struck me yet.
How exactly do you start writing a song? i.e. do you write a poem and then transform it into a song or do you write something knowing right away that it’s going to be your next “baby” (song), with instrument or without.

    -Describe your ideal audience.

-How do you know when a song you are writing is complete? I know that your songs constantly evolve as you play them live, but initially, what is it that tells you it is ready to be sung aloud to an audience or be recorded?

-When was the last time you heard a song that made you want to pee your pants it was so good, and what was the song?

everyone knows that artists make music to express themselves, but i have always wondered if you ever listen to your own music to re-find that answer or that emotion, basically, do you listen to your own music?

First off, iminpeace.com, this is a great opportunity, thank you!

Hey Justin! I was fortunate enough to see you in concert last November and I can’t wait until you start to tour the US again.
One thing that I enjoy about your music is that I find your lyrics to be very candid. I have been trying to write songs for a while now, but whenever I do, I find my thoughts to be scattered and I find that I can’t get the theme or my emotions to come across. Do you have any advice on how I can become (or at least try) a better songwriter? When you’re writing a song how do you focus on a theme and stick with it?

    Thank you! : )

I never really wanted to get a tattoo before but for some reason I’ve been thinking about it and I heard you say that your tattoos were expressions of your spirit which was interesting to me. I know Ive heard the question asked before about what your tattoos symbolized but I’ve never heard the answer. Please:). And just one more thing, is it ” If only you could trust me then we could be ( three or free?) together forever as gray, just touch. “

When I first heard the intro of “My heart is yours”, it made me think of a song of Nick Drake (“Place to be”), an artist that I love (not as much as I love Justin though). The guitar, the sweetness, the grace…
So Justin, I have read and watch many interviews of you and I have never heard you talking about Nick Drake. Do you know/like him ? Has he been a source of inspiration for you ?
    Thanks

    Hi Justin,
my first question (i’ll understand if you don’t want to answer but it bothers me): why did you write “no heaven”?(the first time I heard this song I tought it was the most beautiful song I ‘ve ever heard but when I get the meaning I was “shocked”. but I still love this song!)
second question : can you tell us what are your flaws. nobody is perfect, even if you seem to be!!!
PS : sorry for my english, I hope you understand what I mean.
